What is culture?

Workplace culture is widely defined as ‘the way things are done around here’. However, we know that the way things get done is often subject to interpretation and dispute. Whilst what is done is important, what people believe is done is what motivates them. That is why we define culture as the way people perceive things are done around here.

What is open culture?

An open culture is one where everyone has a voice, that voice is heard, and things happen as a result. As perception is reality, a truly open culture is one where everyone believes that this is the case.

Why should you open up your culture?

Dialogue is fundamental to a healthy and high-performing open culture. For organisations of every size, an open culture drives continuous improvement, enhances organisational learning, and safeguards individual and organisational integrity. It also creates a workplace where valued colleagues remain engaged, new talent is drawn in, and long-term success becomes sustainable.
